Our Founder

Dr. Maha Frangieh is a forward-thinking educational leader with a strong belief in progressive education and the need to redefine learning for the 21st century. With a Doctorate in Education specializing in Assessment and Curriculum from University College London and advanced training from Harvard, she has held key leadership roles, including Principal at the American International School of Jeddah and Wellspring Learning Community in Beirut.

Maha advocates for a modern educational approach that recognizes the limitations of traditional schooling in preparing students for the rapidly evolving demands of the 21st century. She believes that schools must go beyond conventional academics, emphasizing critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and life skills that are essential for future success. Her progressive views focus on equipping students with the skills, mindsets, and competencies that are often overlooked in traditional curricula.

Central to Maha’s educational philosophy is her belief in empowering students as active agents in their own learning journey. She champions student voice and choice, encouraging learners to take ownership of their education, ask questions, and engage in meaningful inquiry. By fostering a culture of active participation, she ensures that students are not just passive recipients of knowledge but are deeply involved in shaping their own learning experiences. This learner-centered approach reflects her commitment to nurturing independent, confident, and adaptable individuals ready to meet the challenges of the future.
